If at first you don’t succeed…

How can you not love Sir Richard Branson?! The guy continues to live life as if each day was his last, all while at the helm of a global empire consisting of like 10,000 companies, or something like that. The guy redefines amazing. Yesterday I saw a tweet (how cool is it that you can stay in constant contact with his energy simply by following him on Twitter!) by him that I retweeted (of course) and wanted to blog about quickly.

While attempting to cross the Channel (between France and England that is) to mark/ celebrate his 60th birthday, he and his family and friends were forced to call it a day after the the boat rescue team called it off due to bad weather (perfect weather for kite surfing however!). We all know how this story will end of course (he becomes the first person to accomplish this feat) but what really caught my attention was his statement: “I don’t think I’ve ever done an adventure where I’ve succeeded the first time.”

Interesting. Enjoy!

“Breakthrough With Tony Robbins” Cancelled After 2 Episodes!

// August 10th, 2010 // No Comments » // Uncategorized

Hope you had a chance to watch the first two episodes of “Breakthrough With Tony Robbins” because I just learned that NBC already cancelled the show. Sad if you ask me. I caught them myself and thought they were excellent. Certainly better than the usual common fare of reality tv. What does it say about our society when people choose Big Brother and Paris Hilton’s Best Friend over positive programming from one of, if not the world’s #1 motivational speaker and trainer? Not much! Especially at a time when the middle class is disappearing and people are in desperate need of help and positivity, rather than the negativity that permeates today’s tv programming.

One story involved a couple who had just jumped into a franchise business which failed and left them in debt for about $100,000. That’s more realistic and helpful than a houseful of backbiting dimwits that apparently attract more than an average of 3.1 million total viewers according to the Nielsen ratings company that Tony attracted.

You can watch both episodes without any advertisements online here. Enjoy and remember, stop watching negative tv programming, aka the electronic income  reducer.
